Ingredients for Chicken:
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg
Ingredients for Sauce:
- 1/4 cup and 2 tsp. honey
- 1/4 cup and 2 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- sesame seeds for garnish
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- In two bowls put your cornstarch and egg (yolk whisked).
- Cut your chicken into bite sized cubes, then dip in your egg followed by cornstarch. Make sure each piece is covered.
- In a fry pan heat up your canola oil then add your chicken. Turn and cook until lightly browned. Set to the side.
- In a medium bowl combine and whisk together your ingredients for the sauce.
- In a baking pan combine chicken and sauce. Place in oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle with some sesame seeds. Serve!
